വിദൂരനീതി (Vidura Neethi)
അര്‍ജുനനെ നിമിത്തമാക്കി യോഗേശ്വരനായ ശ്രീകൃഷ്ണന്‍ ഗീതോപദേശം ചെയ്തതുപോലെ അന്ധനും, പുത്രനോടുള്ള സ്നേഹാധിക്യത്താല്‍ ധര്‍മ്മാന്ധനുമായ ധൃതരാഷ്ട്രരെ നിമിത്തമാക്കി വിദുരര്‍ ഈ ഉപാഖ്യാനത്തിലൂടെ എക്കാലത്തേയ്ക്കും ഏവര്‍ക്കുമായി എന്താണ് ധര്‍മ്മം എന്ന് വിവരിക്കുകയാണ്.
ഉപദേശം നല്കുന്നവരും, ശ്രവിക്കുന്നവരും നിരവധിയുണ്ടാകാം. എന്നാല്‍ ഹിതകരമായ ഉപദേശം നല്കുന്നവരും അതിനെ സ്വാംശീകരിക്കുന്നവരും വളരെ വിരളമാണെന്നാണ് വിദുരരുടെ അഭിപ്രായം.
Vidura is describing what dharma is for all time and for all, for the sake of Dhritarashtra, who was blind due to his love for his son, just as Sri Krishna, the Lord of Yogeswara, preached the song for the sake of Arjuna.
There may be many givers and listeners, but Vidura’s opinion is that those who give good advice and who assimilate it are very rare.
