പഞ്ചമഹാകാവ്യം
(Panchamahakavyam)
പഞ്ചമഹാകാവ്യം – മഹാകാവ്യ ലക്ഷണം കൃത്യമായി പാലിക്കുന്ന അഞ്ച് മഹാകാവ്യങ്ങൾ ആണ് സംസ്കൃതത്തിൽ ഉള്ളത്.അവയെ പഞ്ചാമഹാകാവ്യങ്ങൾ എന്ന് വിളിക്കുന്നു.
1. കുമാരസംഭവം – കാളിദാസൻ
2. കിരാതാർജ്ജുനീയം – ഭാരവി
3. രഘുവംശം – കാളിദാസൻ
4. ശിശുപാലവധം – മാഘൻ
5. നൈഷധം – ശ്രീഹർഷൻ
The Pancha Mahakavyas are five great Sanskrit epic poems:
1. Kumarasambhava – By Kalidasa, this poem is about the birth of Kartikeya Bhagawan.
2. Kiratharjuneeyam- By Bharavi, this poem is about Arjuna’s career in the Mahabharata.
3. Raghuvamsha – By Kalidasa, this poem is about the story of Shri Rama and his ancestors.
4. Sisupalavadha – By Magha, this poem is about Krishna’s defeat of Sishupala from the Mahabharata.
5. Naishadham- By Sri Harsha, this poem is about the story of King Nala and his love for Damayanti.
ശാകുന്തളം
(Shakuntalam)

വിദൂരനീതി
(Vidura Neethi)
വിദൂരനീതി – അന്ധനും, പുത്രനോടുള്ള സ്നേഹാധിക്യത്താല്‍ ധര്‍മ്മാന്ധനുമായ ധൃതരാഷ്ട്രരെ നിമിത്തമാക്കി വിദുരര്‍ ഈ ഉപാഖ്യാനത്തിലൂടെ എക്കാലത്തേയ്ക്കും ഏവര്‍ക്കുമായി എന്താണ് ധര്‍മ്മം എന്ന് വിവരിക്കുകയാണ്.

കിരാതാർജ്ജുനീയം – സംസ്കൃതത്തിലെ പഞ്ചമഹാകാവ്യങ്ങളിൽ ഒന്നാണ് കിരാതാർജ്ജുനീയം. ഭാരവിയാണ് ഇതിന്റെ കർത്താവ്.മഹാഭാരതത്തിൽ നിന്നുമാണ് ഇതിന്റെ കഥാതന്തു സ്വീകരിച്ചിട്ടുള്ളത്
Kiratarjuniyam is one of the five epic poems in Sanskrit. Bharavi is the lord of it. The story line is taken from Mahabharata
നീതിസാരം
(Neethi Saram)
നീതിസാരം – സംസ്കൃതസാഹിത്യത്തിലെ സുഭാഷിതങ്ങളുടെ ഒരു ലഘുസമാഹാരമാണ് ഈ പുസ്തകം. ഈ സുഭാഷിതങ്ങളിലോരോന്നും നമ്മുടെ മുന്നില്‍ അറിവിന്റെ ഒരു പുതിയ ലോകം തുറന്നുതരുന്നു.
Neethi Saram –This is a short collection of Subhasitas in Sanskrit literature. Each of these verses opens up a new world of knowledge before us. Another characteristic of these is that humor, logic and practicality are beautifully combined in each of these subhasitas.
മേഘദൂതം
(Meghadootham, மேகதூதம்)
മേഘദൂതം – കാലദേശാവധികളില്‍ നിന്നു നിര്‍മുക്തമാണു സാഹിഘസന്ദേശം രചിക്കപ്പെട്ടതെന്നു വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നുത്യം. മഹാകവി കാളിദാസനാല്‍ രചിക്കപ്പെട്ട സന്ദേശകാവ്യം ആണു മേഘസന്ദേശം. ക്രിസ്തുവിനു ശേഷം നാലാം നൂറ്റാണ്ടിലോ അഞ്ചാം നൂറ്റാണ്ടിലോ ആണു മേ.
காலம், தேசம் ஆகியவைகளின் வரையறைகளுக்கு அப்பாற்பட்டது இலக்கியம். மேக சந்தேசம் என்பது மகாகவி காளிதாசரால் இயற்றப்பட்ட, மேகத்தைத் தூதனுப்பும் முறையில் அமைந்துள்ள ஒரு தூது காவியமாகும். இந்நூல் கிறிஸ்துவுக்குப் பிறகு நான்காம் அல்லது ஐந்தாம் நூற்றாண்டில் இயற்றப் பட்டிருக்கலாம் என்று நம்பப்படுகிறது.
Meghadootham – It is believed that Sahighasandesh was composed free of time limits. Meghasandesham is a poem written by the great poet Kalidasa around the 4 or 5 AD time period.

(Chanakya Neethi)
